Gasoline prices in Rhode Island dropped one cent this week, according to AAA Northeast.  AAA Northeast’s June 19 survey of prices in Rhode Island finds self-serve, regular unleaded averaging $2.29 per gallon. Rhode Island’s price is equal to the national average. New Teen Drivers Three Times As Likely to Be Involved in a Deadly Crash

New teen drivers ages 16-17 years old are three times as likely as adults to be involved in a deadly crash, according to new research from the AAA Foundation for Traffic Safety. AAA: Memorial Day Travel at Highest Level Since 2005

 AAA projects that 39.3 million Americans will travel 50 miles or more away from home this Memorial Day weekend. That is one million more travelers than last year taking to the roads, skies, rails and water, creating the highest Memorial Day travel volume since 2005. An estimated 1,775,000 New Englanders will be among the Memorial Day travelers, also the highest number since 2005, and 2.8 percent over 2016.
