Every year, AAA Northeast holds the AAA Traffic Safety Poster and Video Contest and invites students in Bergen, Essex, Hudson, Morris, Passaic, and Union counties to participate. The poster and video contest encourages creativity and presents a unique opportunity for students to communicate safety messages to their peers.

Participating in the contest gives students the opportunity to showcase their artistic talents and traffic safety knowledge on the subjects of pedestrian, child passenger and novice driver safety.

Students in Grades K - 8 may submit an original, hand-drawn poster.

Students in Grades 9 – 12 are allowed to submit a hand-drawn poster, a graphic art/digitally-enhanced design, or a video public service announcement.

The competition is judged by traffic safety and art experts. Judging criteria includes the relationship of the entry to proper traffic safety practices, originality, creativity and execution, visual impact and relevance of the slogan.

Winning entries are featured on the AAA Northeast website, in the annual Traffic Safety Poster & Video Contest calendar and First-Place entries may be featured in the Club’s print and/or digital publication, Your AAA.
